Scottish wedding photographer
Hi, I’m Margaret and I love photographing weddings in the wild landscapes of Scotland. You can see me here with a couple on the beach, wellies on and coat buttoned up against the blustery day – I couldn’t be happier! It’s such a stunning part of the world to choose as a backdrop for your wedding. I also run landscape creative retreats in Scotland
At home on Harris
I live on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
Living here allows me to shoot the intimate weddings and elopements I love, right on my doorstep! It also means I’m well connected to other wedding professionals like celebrants, musicians, florists and chefs.
I love the peace of living here and the way it allows creativity to be present every day!
Seascape Art
I have exhibited Isle of harris Fine Art photography at Talla Na Mara solo exhibitions twice – ” Sea of Solituide” and ” Within Hebridean Seas” and also at the Bosham Gallery in Chichester. I have created several books from my work, which are all inspired by the coastline of the Isle of Harris.
You can see my fine art photography here
I have returned to painting recently and will be shortly building a gallery for my work at my home in Geocrab, Isle of Harris.
My love of the coast, affinity with the sea allows me to photograph weddings on the islands beaches with passion and a deeper connection. I am able to create unique photographs that incorporate the landscape as well as focusing on you as a couple.
I love the outdoors
My love of landscape photography allows me to combine the two genres and to photograph wedding couples within Scotland’s fabulous scenery.
Photographing outdoor weddings within the landscape allows me to capture the beauty of a wedding day as well as the beauty of the landscape.
I love outdoor activities and find it wonderful to see couples marrying outdoors or doing something they love. I
I love dogs!
I spend a lot of time on the beaches with Skye who is my two year old whippet.
She won’t be present on your wedding day as she likes to run very fast and is a little too friendly!
If you have dogs with your on your wedding, bring them with you as they are important guests though.
I adore outdoor swimming, surfing, paddleboarding & walking
I surf, walk, paddleboard, cycle and spend most of my life in my wellies and walking boots. The outdoors is where I am most at home – you’ve probably got the idea by now! I also love wild swimming – even in the winter.
I’m always up for a bit of a hike on a wedding day and I don’t mind a bit of rain.
