Scottish wedding photographer
Hi, I’m Margaret and I love photographing weddings in the wild landscapes of Scotland. You can see me here with a couple on the beach, wellies on and coat buttoned up against the blustery day – I couldn’t be happier! It’s such a stunning part of the world to choose as a backdrop for your wedding. I also run landscape photography workshops in Scotland

At home on Harris
After years of living in Drumnadrochit, on the edge of Loch Ness in the beautiful Highlands, I now live on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
Living here allows me to shoot the intimate weddings and elopements I love, right on my doorstep! It also means I’m well connected to other wedding professionals like celebrants, musicians, florists and chefs.
I love the peace of living here and travelling in my van to the other nearby islands.
Solo photography exhibition
I recently had my first solo landscape photography exhibition on the Isle of Harris at Talla Na Mara. It was a proud moment, as I spend all my spare time working on landscapes. The exhibition ”Sea of Solitude” was based around finding creativity through remote and inspiring places. I travel solo by choice and am a big believer in the power of quiet. You can see my fine art photography here
If I had to describe my personality it would be calm, kind, quiet and happy! I dedicate myself to everything I do with integrity and thought, whether that’s landscapes or your wedding photography. If you want someone who knows exactly what they are doing and will go about this quietly and effectively at your wedding, I could be the photographer for you!

I love the outdoors
My love of landscape photography allows me to combine the two genres and to photograph wedding couples within Scotland’s fabulous scenery.
Photographing outdoor weddings within the landscape allows me to capture the beauty of a wedding day as well as the beauty of the landscape.
I love outdoor activities and find it wonderful to see couples marrying outdoors or doing something they love. I have yet to photograph a wedding on skis or surfboards but I’m sure there is time!
Travelling around Scotland
I travel in my gorgeous sprinter van which allows me easy access to some of Scotland’s islands and more remote locations. Sometimes I am travelling for up to a week from wedding to wedding on different islands.
It keeps costs down for you and allows for much more flexibility on my part. I often call my van my first love and it is the one thing I couldn’t live without.
My travelling doesn’t stop in Scotland and I make sure that I take at least one trip a year overseas by myself to explore places such as Sri Lanka and India.

I adore dogs, paddleboarding & walking
I surf, walk, paddleboard, cycle and spend most of my life in my wellies and walking boots. The outdoors is where I am most at home – you’ve probably got the idea by now! I also love wild swimming – even in the winter.
I’m always up for a bit of a hike on a wedding day and I don’t mind a bit of rain. I also adore dogs so please bring them along if you have one! The one in the picture is Ellie – she isn’t mine but I just borrow her whenever humanly possible …
