Scottish Islands wedding photographer
I specialise in photographing weddings and elopements on the Scottish Islands. Although most of them are on the Hebrides, I am delighted when I get asked to photograph a wedding on any Scottish island.
I have photographed weddings on Orkney, Coll, Mull, Bute, Islay, Iona and Tiree. I love travelling, so distance is no object and I am well used to being on and off ferries!

The never-ending beautiful weather in May on the Isle of Harris continued for Sian and Meredith's wedding at Borve. Sian and Meredith married on the beach at Borve and the wedding was planned and co ordinated for by the Onboard Hebrdes who also provided some...

Beach wedding on the isle of Mull
Olivia and Roddy held their beach wedding on the isle of Mull at a local beach which is one of the most secluded and remote locations in the Isle of Mull. Langamull beach is a 40 min walk from the nearest road so remains quiet and unspoilt. Their ambitious plans for a...
Isle of Coll beach weddings
A small patch of paradise in the Inner Hebrides. Sitting six miles west of Mull, the small Hebridean island of Coll is the place to get away from it all. With deserted beaches and turquoise, crystal clear waters, Coll is a dream come true for a romantic elopement.
Isle of Tiree beach weddings
Tiree is one of the most romantic places I can think of to get married. It is an island that is pared back to just the two of you and the landscape. The beautiful stretches of beaches are breathtaking and mostly deserted.
If you love wild and beautiful landscapes then Tiree is the place. Everything is simplified. There are a couple of places to eat out, but mostly its about spending time together. Cosy evenings in your accommodation just together. You can take your pick of beaches to be married on.
Isle of Mull beach weddings
The white sands and turquoise seas of Calgary beach on Mull is a gorgeous place to be married. The coastline is dotted with stunning sandy bays and turquoise waters, backed by forest and moorland. Some are easy to access and others require a hike to reach them, but they’re all worth the effort.
Mull is one of the easiest islands to get to via a short ferry from Oban which runs frequently every day.
Isle of Lewis weddings
For a dramatic backdrop for wedding photography, Lewis is hard to beat. It has an ever-changing mix of terrains. Rugged cliffs, sea stacks, stretches of deserted beaches, crumbled remains of empty croft houses. Hills, lunar-like rocky plateaus and desolate moorlands.
Lewis has the stunning Lews Castle along with many self catering options for your accommodation. But you can also choose any beautiful beach to marry on. Uig sands is particularly gorgeous, sheltered and easy to access. Or you could marry at the Callanish Stones if you prefer.
Isle of Bute weddings
For such a compact island, Bute has some extraordinarily varied landscapes. From the lush, fertile and rolling hills to the craggy, heather-covered moorlands of the north. As well as the delightful sandy beaches around the coastline, this is a wonderful destination for an elopement.
Mount Stuart makes an incredible setting for any wedding if you wanted an indoor option!
Isle of Islay weddings
The Isle of Islay is also called Queen of the Hebrides with some stunning scenery.
Well known for its distilleries, it has 130 miles of beaches with sand and shingle. Mostly empty, you can take your pick for your wedding on Islay.
Isle of Iona beach wedding
Iona is a tiny island off the southwest coast of Mull in the Inner Hebrides. You can get married on any of the beaches on Iona. All of them are accessible by foot, and all enjoy the endless changes of colour in the landscape and the sea. On warm summer days, the sunshine, sand, and crystal clear waters make Iona appear positively Mediterranean.
Orkney Isles weddings
The breathtaking, natural beauty of the wild and rugged Orkney Isles stays with you for ever. The big open skies, rounded hills and incredibly beautiful coastline offer a stunning background for beautiful wedding photography.
