Scottish wedding photography

I first began photographing weddings 22 years ago in Ullapool on the west coast of Scotland. Since then I’ve photographed weddings across the country, from grand castles to quiet beaches, and my love of landscape runs through all of it. I’m drawn to couples who want to be outdoors, in beautiful places, on their wedding day.

I feel blessed to be able to do this for my job and not only to provide you with some memories that will last forever but to be part of your day. To witness a beautiful moment in a wonderful location and to have the ability to document this in a way that feels real and emotive is a very special thing. I have learnt how to blend in and how to help you relax and simply enjoy the beauty of the day, the feelings and the landscapes around you. I hope you can see this through some of the images below!

Weddings across Scotland

Over the past 22 years I’ve photographed weddings and elopements right across Scotland. On the Isle of Harris, where I live, I specialise in intimate elopements against some of the most striking coastal scenery in the country. I also regularly photograph weddings on the Isle of Lewis, including at Lews Castle, and across the Scottish Highlands, where I have a second base in Inverness, at venues including Aldourie Castle, Skibo Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, and The Torridon. My wedding photography has also taken me across the Central Belt, to venues like Gleneagles, Dalhousie Castle, and Edinburgh Castle, and to the islands beyond Harris and Lewis, including Orkney.

Wherever your wedding is taking place, whether that’s a remote island elopement or a grand Highland castle, I bring the same approach: real moments, natural light, and a day captured as it actually happened.
