Bride and groom walking through the Stones of Stenness, Orkney wedding photography

Raema and Adam married at the most beautiful venue, St Magnus Cathedral on Orkney, in September. It was one of my favourite days of Orkney wedding photography, filled with gorgeous details that had all been so well thought out. Every part of the wedding was planned with real care, which is always wonderful from a photographer’s point of view. It meant we had plenty of time afterwards to visit various locations for family shots, the bridal party at the Stones of Stenness, and a couple of spots that meant a great deal to Raema and Adam themselves.

This kind of planning goes a long way towards relaxed, natural wedding photos. The wonderful locations, glorious weather and a genuinely lovely couple all helped too.

I loved Orkney from beginning to end, and it was a real delight to photograph a wedding over on the island. Hopefully I’ll be back again someday, but for now, here are some of Raema and Adam’s wedding photos.
