An Isle of Lewis elopement – Lews Castle & Callanish Stones
Kat & Joe eloped to Stornoway for their wedding in October 2017. Staying at Lews Castle at this time of year provided the ideal quiet romantic retreat for the couple – almost like having their own castle! Their room had a roll top bath in the bedroom and the castle kindly gifted them champagne and a King & Queen Uig chessmen pieces!
Luckily the weather held out for the couple on the day itself, even though it was a little bit blustery! The ceremony was held by Helen Maher at the Callanish stones and they went off to have their wedding meal at the fabulous Digby Chick in Stornoway. Their whole trip was a wonderful way to elope to Scotland – a great combination of really luxurious accommodation and fabulous and interesting scenery along with a stunning ceremony location.
