Valtos Beach Wedding: Louise & Steve
Isle of Lewis wedding photography
Louise and Steve travelled to Uig on the Isle of Lewis for their wedding, staying in a secluded cabin by Valtos Beach with their rescue dog Molly, a sproodle. They married on the beach itself, a ten-minute walk from the cabin, with a hand-fasting ceremony conducted by the registrar who travelled from Stornoway.

The Ceremony
Valtos Beach is one of the quieter beaches on the Lewis coastline, white sand and no one else around, which made it an ideal spot for a small, private wedding ceremony. Louise and Steve chose a hand-fasting ceremony, with their two witnesses, Annie and Rob from Harris, taking part directly in the ritual alongside the couple.

The Cottage at Valtos
Liosbeag itself sits down a steep drive, a blue house with a small front garden, a grassed area, and a balcony looking out over the water, all a short walk from the beach. After the ceremony, everyone headed back for cake and food, a relaxed end to a quiet, intimate wedding day.

Congratulations to Louise and Steve.
