Scarista Beach Wedding: Danielle & Matt
Danielle and Matt were married on Scarista Beach on the Isle of Harris, with Kay Falconer of Fuze Ceremonies conducting a small, relaxed ceremony on the sand. It was an intimate wedding, just the couple and a witness, not forgetting their dog Archie.

The Ceremony
Scarista Beach is one of the most striking spots on Harris for a small wedding or elopement, with white sand and turquoise water backed by machair and hills. The ceremony was short and unfussy, exactly the kind of setup that suits couples who want a beach wedding without the scale of a full traditional day.
After the Ceremony
Once the ceremony was done, Archie was let off to do what he’d clearly been waiting for all morning, chasing his ball into the sea while the rest of us walked the beach. It made for some of my favourite images of the day, a proper contrast to the stillness of the ceremony itself.
Danielle and Matt collected an afternoon picnic from On Board Hebrides and headed back to Scarista House, where they stayed the night. They were on a longer trip round the islands by camper van, and left the next day to carry on their route.
Scarista House sits right on the coast road with easy access to the beach, which makes it a good pairing for couples planning a similar small wedding or elopement on Harris. Congratulations to Danielle and Matt.
