Ashley, Andrew and their two lovely little boys travelled over with their families to the Isle of Harris to be married this April. It turned out to be one of the sunniest and most calm days I have seen on the island for a long while. And with views like there are on the Isle of Harris, it was a real treat for everyone. Ashley and her bridesmaids and children got ready at the Seashell – a lovely self catering cottage which looks over to Luskentyre and has a wonderful open plan living area upstairs which is flooded with light and is perfect for the bridal party getting ready. Siar Beauty did hair and make up for the girls.
Ashley’s transport down to Rodel, St Clements Church was a fabulously decorated vw campervan provided by Harris Classic Campervan Hire. What a way to arrive at the Church! After a wonderful ceremony in the most stunning Church I know, we headed down to Horgabost for a few photos. Ashley & Andrew wanted everything low key and mostly unposed so we spent a few minutes at the beach and then headed back to Talla Na Mara for their reception. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Talla Na Mara since it was opened a year ago. It is a fabulous venue with views to die for. There is a decking outside which is perfect for family groups and also a great place to hang out and watch the sun set over the expanse of beaches and sea views. Their day continued with a meal provided by Talla Na Mara and Ceilidh music in the evening from Iain Angus Ceilidh Band.
